Backend Engineer (Senior/Staff/Principal role)

Celebrate shipping. Learn from failures. What you need to be qualified At least 3 years of experience in backend development using Golang or similar languages such as Python or Java. Hands-on experience with high-concurrency systems, ideally for products serving at least 3 million active users. Proven ability to develop and operate large-scale, highly available services, with expertise in resolving bottlenecks and reducing latency. Strong knowledge of microservices architecture, GCP, Kubernetes (K8s) clusters, gRPC, and CI/CD processes. Proficiency in both SQL and NoSQL databases, such as PostgreSQL and MongoDB. Expertise in designing and executing robust unit tests. Experience in the Banking or FinTech domains is highly desirable. Excellent teamwork skills and the ability to thrive under pressure in time-sensitive environments. Preferred Qualifications: A proven track record of impactful technical contributions in similar roles. An exceptional academic background, such as graduating with honors or from a top-tier university. Or participation in prestigious competitions like ACM-ICPC or Mathematics Olympiad (a plus for Junior/Fresher roles). Technical Product Manager (Payment, Core)
We are looking for an experienced Payment Product Manager to drive the development of account management, fund transfers, investment, saving, and other core financial functions. As a key member of the tech product team, you will work closely with engineering, operations, compliance, and business stakeholders to build scalable, secure, and efficient payment solutions for our financial ecosystem. Key Responsibilities Own the full product lifecycle: strategy, design, execution, and continuous improvement. Design and enhance features across: • Account management (CASA, saving, linking accounts) • Fund transfers & payment flows • Investment and other digital finance products Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, operations, compliance, finance, business) to deliver robust and regulatory-compliant solutions Define clear product goals, success metrics, and continuously monitor performance. Lending Product Supervisor/Manager
About the job As a Lending Product Supervisor, you will be responsible for managing the business aspect of the lending product at Cake. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including Product Managers, Risk, Tech, Data, Legal, and Operations to define the lending strategy, understand lending flows and policies, and drive product improvements. Your goal is to enhance and scale Cake’s lending offerings to better serve our customers while ensuring compliance, profitability, and growth. Location: we open for location(HN, HCM) but you need to onboard in HN at least 2 weeks per each month. Key Responsibilities Own and continuously improve the end-to-end business flow of lending products (e.g., cash loans, BNPL, overdraft). Define and document lending strategies, policies, and customer journeys in alignment with compliance and risk frameworks. Collaborate with Tech Product Managers and Engineers to translate business needs into clear technical requirements and product roadmaps. Monitor lending performance metrics (approval rate, NPL, conversion, user engagement) and provide data-driven insights for decision-making and product optimization.
